ChatGPT without restrictions

Short answer: four ChatGPT restrictions are not toggles: the account needs an email or phone, chats sit on their servers, several scripts and pixels load, and the model refuses by design. Each has a different fix, and only the last two need a different service.

People search this expecting a settings screen. There isn’t one. Some restrictions are the product; others are choices OpenAI made. Sorting them is most of the work.

The ones you cannot turn off

Identity. An account needs an email or a phone number, or Google/Apple sign-in, which is the same thing with fewer steps.

Retention. Conversations live on their servers. The control you get is a switch about training data, not deletion.

Client-side tracking. The web app loads scripts and pixels from third-party hosts.

The refusal layer. A trained behaviour, present in every model they serve, adjustable only by prompt.

The ones you can

Custom instructions, memory, a custom GPT with a system prompt, a Projects setup with a style guide. All of them are the same mechanism: a persistent prompt that tries to talk the model out of its habits. That works about as well as asking someone to be someone else. It holds for a while and then slips, usually mid-scene, which is why people end up writing the same “no preamble, stay in character” instruction for the tenth time.

What a system prompt cannot do is remove the refusal direction from the weights. That needs a different model.

Fixes, in order of effort

  1. No account, no email. Guest chat here answers immediately with Llama 3.3 70b Instruct, no account and no cookies, 30 messages an hour. Good for a one-off question you’d rather not attach to an identity.
  2. No tracking. A service with no third-party scripts, which removes the correlation between your questions and an ad graph.
  3. No refusal. Uncensored models on Pro at $45 a month, with $35 of usage included, on an account that is a random 16-digit number.
  4. Nothing leaving the machine. Local Mode runs a small model in the browser; no request, no log, no server.

An API route exists too, if you have your own client: the endpoint is OpenAI-compatible, so an existing OpenAI integration usually needs only a base URL and a key.

What you give up

Frontier reasoning is the real cost. ChatGPT’s top models are better at hard problems than anything on an uncensored plan here, and there is no image generation. The useful arrangement for most people is both: frontier model on a Casual plan ($20 a month) for thinking, uncensored model for the material that trips the refusal.

Also honest: no service yet gets you unfiltered frontier models. Uncensored means open models, here and everywhere.

Common questions

Can I remove ChatGPT’s restrictions with a custom GPT?

Partly. A system prompt changes tone and some behaviour, and slips under pressure. It can’t remove the refusal direction from the weights.

Is there a ChatGPT without an account?

Guest chat here answers with no account at all. ChatGPT itself now allows limited use signed out, but the account wall arrives at the second message.

Do you use my chats for training?

They aren’t stored on the server at all; they live in your browser. There is no training set to opt out of.

Can I keep ChatGPT and use this too?

That’s the recommended shape: frontier model for hard reasoning on $20 a month, uncensored models on Pro when ChatGPT hedges.

Does this have image generation?

No. Venice or ChatGPT itself for images.

Is the API OpenAI-compatible?

Yes, at /v1, with the same model ids the app uses.

Try it now: guest chat needs no account, no email and no cookies. When you want more models, an account is just a random number.
